Articulated
Articulated means being jointed and so able to move. I use this term to refer to my all porcelain dolls composed usually of 14 porcelain pieces: head, torso, upper arms, lower arms, thighs, calves, hands and feet. These parts are joined internally by stringing, enabling the doll to have a range of realistic movement. I originally developed these articulated dolls for dolls' house collectors who requested partially clad dolls who could be realistically posed in bedrooms and bathrooms.
