I\u2019m back home after three long hours setting up at the NEC.  I\u2019ve done quite a bit but there\u2019s still about an hour and a half to be done tomorrow morning.<\/font><\/p>\n

I did stop long enough to show you two other exhibitors in the thick of it.  Here\u2019s Tony Knott<\/font><\/p>\n

who says it takes him about three hours to set up at the rate of about 87 swear words an hour but he does like setting up because he likes playing shops.<\/font><\/p>\n

It looks from that label as if he has a complete new range.  Interesting, we\u2019ll have a look tomorrow when it\u2019s out of the bags and see what it is.<\/font><\/p>\n

An exhibitor who must be up for an award for most miniatures to set out is Anne Dalton who trades as Ottervale China.  Anne makes fine bone china ornaments, which are set out individually on her table.  Here\u2019s Anne<\/font><\/p>\n

and this is her stand at the start of five hours\u2019 work.<\/font><\/p>\n

This is what Anne is going to place in a two and a half hour stint tonight<\/font><\/p>\n

and the same tomorrow morning<\/font><\/p>\n

these are just two of many boxes containing dozens upon dozens of ornaments.  I asked Anne how many individual pieces she was placing, an interesting question, as it turns out, which no one had ever asked before.  Anne being the lovely miniaturist she is, is going to count for you as she places them and will tell us tomorrow.  We are sure it\u2019s hundreds but is it as many as a thousand?  Or more?  Your guess is as good as mine but here\u2019s a closer look into the first box to help your estimation.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"P1010105\"<\/a> the area shown is less than an A5<\/font> sheet of paper.  There must be at least 50 miniatures there.<\/font><\/p>\n
