I went on holiday.<\/font><\/p>\n

So far so good.<\/font><\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t had a holiday since 2008, when I went to Australia to meet my new rellies, when my cousin married an Australian.<\/font><\/p>\n

Good so far.<\/font><\/p>\n

I came back from Italy, spiritual home, yesterday.  Flight swap in Zurich.<\/font><\/p>\n

Very nice airport.<\/font><\/p>\n

Flights in a bit of a rush, a lot of running through airports involved.<\/font><\/p>\n

Was already tired climbing up Italian mountain villages with the remnants of Covid or something and short of breath.<\/font><\/p>\n

Not quite as good.<\/font><\/p>\n

Got home late, had a shower went to bed.<\/font><\/p>\n

Still OK.<\/font><\/p>\n

Got up this morning had another shower, put hair in curlers.<\/font><\/p>\n

OK.<\/font><\/p>\n

All the holiday laundry was in the utility room piled up in a small black suitcase, with sticking out wheels.<\/font><\/p>\n

Oh oh.<\/font><\/p>\n

I tripped over the wheel and headed inexorably for the corner wall.<\/font><\/p>\n

Oh.<\/font><\/p>\n

And, with my forehead, made this dent in the wall.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"head4\"<\/a><\/font><\/p>\n

I put my hand to my head and shouted as the OH came in to see what the noise was: \u2018Ambulance!\u2019<\/font><\/p>\n

Because I thought I could feel a big dent in my head.<\/font><\/p>\n

Not good.<\/font><\/p>\n

I had decanted a box of tissues from the holiday on to a table.  I grabbed a handful and held it to my head.  Blood everywhere.<\/font><\/p>\n

Then the OH got in the car and drove me to A&E.<\/font><\/p>\n

Last time I was in A&E was when I fell on the drive and cut my chin open.  I had just washed my hair and turned up then in curlers<\/font><\/p>\n

I must stop going to A&E like this.  It lacks style.<\/font><\/p>\n

However over the next hour my hair dried.  I took the curlers out and the OH took a picture of my skull.<\/font><\/p>\n

\"head2\"<\/a><\/font><\/p>\n

Happy Halloween.<\/font><\/p>\n

It took about three quarters of an hour to put nine stitches in.<\/font><\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t half hurt, even with anaesthetic.<\/font><\/p>\n

I was going to put sweets out for the local children tonight, it being Halloween but I\u2019ve decided not to.<\/font><\/p>\n

Don\u2019t want to frighten anyone.<\/font><\/p>\n
