In the shop you will now find 14 porcelain ornaments. They are original works of art, like everything on this site; prices start at £4 and go up to £8. So if you would like to get maximum value for your one postage and packaging charge applied to your entire order, this is as good as it’s going to get for a while, because I now have to go and make some new things. While I was photographing, computering and adding these ornaments I had a great idea for some new ones. I am also bursting to get going with some painting which I do so hope to begin this week.
The shop stock is all ready, in numbered boxes and all ready in the virtual shop. It’s only taken two days to get 14 items into the shop, which is quite quick for this monkey. You can see for yourself by clicking on the shop button and then the ‘Not dolls’ filter button. The ornaments are on pages 4, 5 and 6 of the ‘Not dolls’ pages; thanks to the zoom feature, activated by clicking on the + button on the bottom right of each item photo, you can see the tiny stuff better than you could with a magnifying glass.
The item on the right is a bear jug with the lid removed, in case you were wondering.
Incidentally, in a few weeks time I will have an ad campaign going in various magazines. This will, I hope, greatly increase the number of visitors to this site. So far, apart from some general ads in big doll magazines and a promotional article, if you found JaneLaverick.com through another site or a search you will have been one of only hundreds of visitors, though the site is visited regularly by readers in 30 countries and 25 languages. If the adverts are successful this could change, so if you have been ‘visiting’ a doll, it may be wise not to wait too long. Everything I make is a handmade, unique, original, durable collectable.
