New shelves in the shop.

I’m happy to tell you the web manager has been working his socks off again, with the faberooney result that there are now categories in the shop.  Instead of having to search through all of the shelves if you are looking for a particular item, you can click on the categories and it will automatically be done for you.

When you click on the button to the right > with the picture of the shop on it, which is, effectively, the shop door, on the next screen in exactly the same location you will now see a box called ‘categories’ with the top category ‘All items’ currently clicked.  Simply click on one of the other choices to make those items appear, or click back on ‘All items’ to select everything again.

The categories are: Big dolls, meaning any doll larger than six inches (150mm) and clothing and accessories pertaining to them; 12th scale, which are dolls for standard size dolls’ houses where 1inch in the dolls’ house = 1 foot in reality; 24th scale, the fastest growing scale in the UK where the dolls are 3 inches (75mm) and under and the houses fit on a windowsill; Not dolls which includes the paintings and porcelain artefacts in all sizes; Bargain Corner which is not seconds, just very exciting reductions for you and space for me to make something new.  All the Bargain Corner items have previously been for sale in shows and paper catalogues at a higher price. In time they will be items that have been offered here online.  I am the idiot who turned a small family home into a porcelain factory, I am also very inventive and get itchy if I don’t make new things, put those two interesting facts together and what you get is Bargain Corner.  Over fifteen years I have made hundreds of different items, always with a limited show and paper catalogue audience, so if you’re finding them new online at a reduced price, you just got lucky!  My prices for miniature art are modest anyway because I aim to offer value for your hard earned money always; in reduction they are unmissable and a good way of tuning in to the world of miniature collectables.

I hope you enjoy playing with the new categories buttons, which will also be in force for all future additions to the shop and that they will make your searches fruitful.  Please remember everything you see here for sale on JaneLaverick.com is my own original artwork, no commercial moulds, templates or patterns are used, everything is made by me using traditional methods to produce lifetime collectables that are only for sale here and at Miniatura.   Happy shopping from me and the sockless web manager!
